WHAT IS IT?

Geraniol and its related compounds are found in the essential oil from turmeric rhizomes. They are also found in other herbs, fruits, and spices, including absinthe, basil, bay leaf, citronella, coriander, dill, garlic, ginger, honeysuckle, hops, lemon, lemon balm, lemongrass, mace, nutmeg, oranges, rose oil, tamarind, and Queen Anne's lace. Plants that contain geraniol compounds have beneficial properties that could help treat thinning hair, prevent cancer, reduce stress, get rid of acne, and even help with wrinkles and weight loss.

POTENTIAL HEALTH BENEFITS
  • Lab studies indicate dietary turmeric increases blood plasma levels of geraniol derivatives, including geranylgeranoic acid (GGA).
  • In clinical trials geraniol induced cancer cell death in patients with liver cancer.
