Guilt-Free Hot Cocoa
Chilly day? Whip up some comforting, healthy hot cocoa. Coconut or almond milk, turmeric, cinnamon, honey, and cacao powder make this a paleo diet version of hot chocolate.

Ingredients:
- 2 teaspoons freshly grated or 1/2 teaspoon dried ground turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon *
- 1 tablespoon cacao powder#AD

- 1 cup coconut or almond milk
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch black pepper (for better absorption of turmeric)
Directions:
- Blend all ingredients together in a blender until smooth.
- Transfer to pan and place over low heat.
- Stirring occasionally, cook until heated through.
- Pour into a mug (through a fine strainer if you've used fresh turmeric).
- Serve.
* Alternatively, place a cinnamon stick in the mixture while it's heating and remove prior to drinking.
