Turmeric-Infused Chicken Wings

Ingredients:
Protein:
- 12 chicken wings, with drummettes attached
Marinade:
- 4 tablespoons honey
- 4 tablespoons tamari or soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger (can substitute 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger)
- 4 gloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated lemongrass, optional (or a 2-inch piece, pounded to release flavor*)
Directions:
- In a small dish, whisk together all marinade ingredients.
- Remove wing tips from chicken drummettes and add all pieces to the marinade. Marinate in the refrigerator for about 1-2 hours or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the meat is golden brown.
- Serve while warm alongside our creamy Spicy Curry Ranch Dip.
Notes:
*If using the pounded 2-inch piece of lemongrass, you will want to add it to the marinade while the chicken absorbs the flavors. Discard it along with the extra marinade when it comes time to bake the chicken. The grated lemongrass can be left in the marinade like any other spice.
